LLDC Winter Festival 2024
In collaboration with Madhya Pradesh, LLDC presented LLDC Winter Festival 2024. There were cultural performances from M.P. & Kutch such as dance, music. Also other attraction such as craft bazaar, craft workshops, hands-on activities and food from M.P.
Day 1
The festival commenced with a vibrant fusion of cultures from Kutch and Madhya Pradesh. Visitors explored 39 unique craft stalls while enjoying high-energy performances by the Sidi Baana dance group. The evening culminated in a spectacular main stage performance by Desmadre Orkesta from Argentina, whose fusion music bridged international borders and celebrated unity through the universal language of music.
Day 2
The festival continued with daily craft workshops and a dedicated game zone for children, allowing young visitors to play while adults learned the intricate processes of regional artistry. While food lovers sampled traditional delicacies from Kutch and Madhya Pradesh, the evening stage featured the Margam Dance Group and various folk ensembles. The night's highlight was the music band Maati Baani (Nirali Kartik & Kartik Shah), who enchanted the audience with a melodic journey accompanied by the traditional Kutchi Jodiya Pawa.
Day 3
Attracting large crowds on a holiday, the third day offered a perfect blend of cultural immersion where every visitor found something to spark their interest. The atmosphere turned spiritual as Hardik Dave and his team took the main stage. Known as "Iktara", Dave performed moving Bhajans of Sant Kabir, beautifully connecting the saint’s weaving heritage with the exquisite embroidery traditions preserved at Shrujan-LLDC.
Day 4
The venue was transformed into a luminous celebration filled with Diyas, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of a sacred temple. The evening was dedicated to soulful Ram Bhajans and popular folk hits, led by the immensely popular Osman Mir and Amir Mir. Their powerful performance, alongside energetic folk dances from Kutch and Madhya Pradesh, left the audience spellbound and brought many to their feet to dance along.
Day 5
The five-day cultural extravaganza concluded with a magnificent display of "Unity in Diversity". The final evening featured folk music by Tapas Upadhyay and a profound main stage performance by Padma Shri Prahlad Tipaniya Ji. His renditions of Kabirvani served as a perfect finale to a journey that celebrated the combined magic of food, dance, music and craft from both Kutch and Madhya Pradesh.
